A leading nutrition practitioner and educator in the field of Age Management and Personalised Nutrition, Miguel is a Registered Nutritional Therapist with a BSc(Hons) in Nutritional Medicine and ongoing postgraduate research in Clinical Neuroscience focusing on brain ageing. Since he started practising in 2009 Miguel has helped thousands of patients feel and look better. He describes his primary clinical focus as “happy ageing” which, in his own words, means “making anything from skin to immune cells and the brain work optimally as we grow younger”. Miguel was the first UK nutrition health professional to be Board Certified in Anti-Ageing, Functional and Regenerative Medicine (ABAAHP certification) after completing this training in the US. He is also a Fellow of the American Academy of Anti-Ageing Medicine and of the Metabolic Medicine Institute. Miguel has also trained with the Institute for Functional Medicine (IFM) and in February 2015 he was awarded the title of Fellow of the British Association for Applied Nutrition and Nutritional Therapy for his long-standing services to the advancement of the profession in his volunteer role as Chairman of the British Association for Applied Nutrition and Nutritional Therapy.Miguel brings a wealth of clinical experience to Zen Healthcare where we’re very excited to welcome him as Nutrition Consultant with a specialism in healthy ageing.

Miguel is a guest lecturer at the British College of Nutrition and Health (affiliated with University of Greenwich) and the University of West London. He is also an in-demand speaker on nutrition for healthy ageing, and has talked at events worldwide, including events at the Silicon Valley Health Institute in California, and the Anti-Ageing Conference London, an event for which he is one of the peer review board.
Miguel is known for his well-argumented, balanced views on nutrition matters, and is often quoted in national and international media. He has been featured on nutrition and ageing matters in The Times, BBC World, the Huffington Post, The Mature Times, The Daily Mail, Men’s Health and is part of the regular Nutrition expert panel of Women’s Health.
