Zen now offers a VI Peel to restore your skin. The ageing process can cause your skin to become lax, pigmented and rough. People with melasma and hyperpigmentation do not have many options for removing discoloration, but this is where the VI Peel comes in! VI Peel is different from other deep peels in that it uses multiple acids at lower concentrations allowing to deliver deep peel results without any side effects. Another difference between the VI Peel and other traditional deep peels is that the VI Peel does not burn. VI Peel is a combination of peeling acids and vitamins that helps erase wrinkles and fine lines, shrink enlarged pores and tightens skin by building collagen and elastin.

VI Peel Frequently Asked Questions

What will I look like right after the VI peel and how much will I peel?

Your skin will look slightly tan or bronzed immediately after the peel due to the retinoic acid. This fades within the hour. Over the next few days your skin will feel tighter and pigmented areas may appear slightly darker. Skin peeling usually begins at day three. It’s a light fluffy peeling and it is easily controlled with moisturizer. In some cases the peel is virtually invisible. Patients on Retin-A may experience heavier peeling. By day 6-7 you will be completely done peeling and your skin will look amazing.

Are there any restrictions of activities after the VI peel?

We recommend avoiding heavy sweating for the first few days after the peel. Normal activities may be resumed immediately after the peel. It’s also advisable to keep sun exposure to a minimum when skin is peeling.

What are the ingredients of the VI Peel?

It is a blend of five acids:TCA,Salicylic Acid, Retin-A, and Vitamin C as ascorbic acid. The blend means VI Peel does not require prior skin conditioning or the painkillers normally used with other chemical peels.

What do the results look like?

Once the peeling has finished, your skin should appear more radiant and toned. You will notice a significant decrease in the appearance of blemishes and other skin conditions. Also, acne is often reduced and becomes more manageable after the VI Peel.

Does the VI Peel burn?

No, it does not burn. Some patients might experience a slight stinging sensation but only for a few seconds.
